The objective centres in enhancing the well-being of pastoralist women by addressing issues related to sexual and reproductive health (SRH) and hygiene. The goal recognizes the link between SRH and other aspects of women’s lives, such as economic empowerment, education and leadership participation. Early forced marriages and childbirth contribute to personal suffering and the cycle of poverty within pastoralist communities. Lack of Reproductive Health Services (RHS) is recognized as a barrier to achieving other goals.
Though access to sexual and reproductive health (SRH) services for pastoralist women has proven to be a complex challenge due to the unique structure of Pastoralist lifestyle setup, PSI is committed to ensuring that SRH is accessible by addressing key issues and implement the appropriate solutions.
PSI will contribute to the overall well-being of Pastoralist women by significantly improving their sexual and reproductive health by addressing these challenges.
